“Steel-Cherry-Rock (1)”
Story:
Cherry blossoms at the Japanese American Historical Plaza lead the eye to the Steel Bridge during sunrise.
That taller upright stone illuminated by the sunlight is inscribed with the Bill of Rights.
(This historical plaza is dedicated to Japanese Americans and helps bring awareness to the struggles they faced during WWII when they were incarcerated.)
Cherry blossoms are the national flower of Japan and they are one of spring’s best blossoms in my opinion. (The cherry blossoms signal the beginning of spring and with it the arrival of spring photography. )
Photographed from the Burnside Bridge, this is one of my favorite places to view the blossoms.
I enjoyed observing how the light changed the mood and atmosphere of the environment as the sun rose higher and higher.
Photographers are always working with light. Some say we “paint with light”.
In this photograph, light tells a powerful story by highlighting three important elements:
The Steel Bridge
The cherry blossoms
The Bill of Rights (rock)
