“Foam Lines”
Story:
Ocean foam streaks the beach as storm clouds brew overhead along a stretch of the Oregon coast in Pacific City during Winter.
Early mornings during stormy winter months see less people and are absent from the dory fishermen. It’s one of my favorite times to visit.
(You can easily become lost in your thoughts – stress takes a vacation.)
Exploring the beach is different depending on the time.
When it’s low, the beach near the shoreline can become very reflective and mirror like.
Today, the turbulent sky was full of energy and rain was imminent. Foam left behind from a retreating wave drew my eye to the horizon where Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda always seem to be in a perpetual tug-of-war with each other over who dominates.
Today was great: powerful; dynamic; wet; Oregon.
