Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from brendanalexphoenix.com (the “Site”).

This website is operated by me, Brendan Alex Phoenix, and powered by Squarespace. Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to Brendan Alex Phoenix.

 
PERSONAL INFORMATION I COLLECT

I collect Device Information using the following technologies:

    - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

    - “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, I collect certain Order Information, including:

  • Your name

  • Billing address

  • Shipping address

  • Payment information processed securely by Squarespace and its payment providers (such as credit card or payment account details)

  • Email address

  • Phone number

When I refer to “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, I am referring to both Device Information and Order Information. 


HOW DO I USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

I use the Order Information that I collect to:

  • Fulfill orders placed through the Site

  • Process payments through Squarespace’s secure payment system

  • Arrange for shipping and digital delivery

  • Provide invoices and order confirmations

Additionally, I use this information to:

  • Communicate with you

  • Screen orders for potential risk or fraud

  • Provide shipping information to my print partner, Gango Custom Printing, for fine art print fulfillment

  • Provide information or updates about my products or services, when aligned with the preferences you have shared

I use Device Information to help screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize the Site. This includes generating analytics about how visitors browse and interact with the Site and assessing the effectiveness of content and site features.


SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

I share Personal Information with third parties only as necessary to operate the Site and fulfill orders, as described above.

My website collects personal data to support site analytics, including:

  • Information about your browser, network, and device

  • Web pages visited prior to coming to this website

  • Your IP address

This information may also include details about how you use the Site, such as:

  • Searches

  • Timestamps

This information is shared with Squarespace, my website analytics provider, to help me understand site traffic and usage patterns.

I may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to lawful requests for information, or protect my legal rights.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

In addition to Squarespace’s built-in analytics, I use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to better understand how visitors use the Site.

Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page views and file download events (for example, when a free wallpaper is downloaded). I do not use Google Analytics to collect personally identifiable information.

Google Signals and advertising features are disabled. No demographic or advertising data is collected.

DO NOT TRACK

Please note that this website does not alter its data collection practices in response to “Do Not Track” signals from your browser. Data collection is handled by Squarespace as described above.

Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including information about your browser, network, and device, web pages visited prior to arriving at the Site, and your IP address. Squarespace uses this data to operate, protect, and improve its platform and services, and analyzes the data in a depersonalized form.


YOUR RIGHTS [European Customers]

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information I hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact me through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident I note that I am processing your information in order to fulfill contracts I might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to the United States.

 
DATA RETENTION

When you place an order through the Site, I will maintain your Order Information for my records unless and until you ask me to delete this information.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

CHANGES

I may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to my practice or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
