āStepping Stonesā
Story:
Exposed stone at McPhillips Beach direct the eye toward Haystack Rock of Pacific City.
These stones, believe it or not, can become completely buried by sand within a year.
Iāve tried coming back to this exact same location just 5 months later to recreate this photograph under different conditions.
But they were nowhere to be found. Walking around in circles, the stones remained hidden under the sand.
Had I imagined things?
āStepping Stonesā was captured during the winter and so I suspect that another winter will reveal them once more. It reminds me of how quickly things can change:
āHere today, gone tomorrowā. Thatās life isnāt it?
[Photographed during the same stormy afternoon as āStorm Poolsā]
