“Rowena Crest”
Story:
The historic Columbia River Highway (Hwy 30) forms a hairpin turn at Rowena Crest in Mosier.
No matter the time of the year, this windy viewpoint is another one of those iconic locations that photographers and tourists alike gravitate to.
Autumn colors this year were excellent and can be seen in the brownish orange foliage of the oak trees that dominate the landscape.
It is from the ridge to the right where I photographed “Road To Nowhere” on a sunny afternoon.
