“Falls Creek Falls”
Story:
A section of Falls Creek Falls shows how water and rock collide – producing a fine mist that creates an ethereal atmosphere.
One spring, I completed a solo road trip to the east coast of the United States to visit extended family. .
While driving back west from Atlanta, Georgia to Memphis, Tennessee (~400 miles), I detoured from Interstate 22 to head up into the Bankhead National Forest to see what could be photographed.
While stopping for gas, I discovered that there were several waterfalls I could possibly visit.
Based on time estimates, however, the only waterfall I could reasonably photograph was Falls Creek Falls.
Having photographed the falls from several different angles, it was this closeup that I felt showcased the elegance of the falls.
With the water fanning out gracefully and the colors: earthy and simple.
