“Facing West”
Story:
Along the shores of the Oregon Coast, a seagull looks over his shoulder and faces toward the sun.
The gulls were gathered by the hundreds (maybe thousands) along the shoreline to feed on mole crabs which due to the angle of the sun had difficulty seeing the birds.
Observing the birds through the camera, I focused on tracking one of them.
While the others were cleaning themselves, this bird kept an eye on me.
He knew I was watching.
